Telecon helps train future telecommunications workers

We are sharing an article that appeared on the Commission scolaire des Hautes-Rivières (Hautes-Rivières School Board) website and in several local newspapers:

“On December 9 and 10, 2015, technicians from TELECON, a major player in Canadian telecommunications, came to install major improvements to the equipment of the Telecommunications Installation and Repairs Department at École Professionnelle des Métiers de St-Jean-sur-Richelieu (St-Jean-sur-Richelieu Professional Technical School), free of charge. In addition to this valuable support for the professional training centre, this committed employer donates materials and time, accepts interns and hires graduates. Through their support, TELECON is helping the EPM to improve the training it gives to future telecommunications technicians and helping the telecommunications industry to meet its ongoing needs. EPM students, program faculty and management, as well as the Commission scolaire des Hautes-Rivières, are very grateful.”

We would also like to thank Jean-François Benoit and Éric Cowan, Fibre Optic and Copper Cable Splicers, for their help with the work.
